Practice / local-only simulator

Paper trading simulator

Use this small paper trading simulator to practise entries, exits, position size and journal thinking without placing a live order. The prices are illustrative and are not live market data. Your sample balance is stored only in this browser using local storage.

What this practice tool can teach

A simulator gives you a place to test the mechanics of a plan: choose an instrument, decide a side, enter a quantity, record the fill and close the paper position. It cannot recreate every live condition such as slippage, liquidity, emotional pressure or platform failure.

Treat each order as a journal entry. Write the setup and invalidation before clicking, then review whether you followed your process. A profitable simulated trade can still be a poor decision if it ignored the rule.

  • Order entry and exit
  • Exposure and unrealised result
  • Basic long and short practice
  • A repeatable review habit

The sample market is deliberately limited

The instrument list uses clearly labelled example prices for a few crypto, forex and stock symbols. There is no broker connection, no wallet, no deposit flow and no claim that the displayed price is current. Use another trusted source when you need real data for research.

Resetting the simulator clears the local sample portfolio. It does not affect a real account because none is connected.

Common questions

Before you move on

Are these live prices?+

No. They are illustrative values included so the practice flow works without a paid data API.

Does the simulator place real orders?+

No. It has no broker or exchange connection and cannot move money.

Where is my sample portfolio stored?+

In local storage in this browser. Clearing site data or using another browser can remove it.
